Our mission is to provide advanced bioenergetic technology with integrity and first class professional support.
Explore the technology. Understand the science. Elevate your practice.
As bioenergetics evolves, we explore emerging technologies that use electrical, and other forms of energy with a focus on available research, professional applications, and responsible use.
Research & Documentation
The studies below are presented for scientific and educational reference. Study titles and findings are attributed to the cited authors and publications. Results describe the populations and conditions evaluated and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of individual outcomes or as medical or veterinary advice.

Published Study
Presented as the published study title. See the linked article for methodology, population, limitations and reported findings.
Pilot Study
In the pilot study, the authors reported improved cervical rotation in 92% of participants, improved cervical extension/flexion in 85% and improved cervical lateral flexion in 81%.
These findings are reported from the cited pilot study and should be considered in the context of its methodology, sample and limitations.
Pilot Study
The pilot study reported changes in pain and range of motion among the participants studied. The authors also reported observations related to bruxing and temporomandibular symptoms.
The study itself should be consulted for the participant population, methods, measurements, limitations and complete findings.
It appeared in Molecular Biology of the Cell in 2025. Its framing of bioelectricity as universal across organisms fits your species-agnostic vision directly.
published in Cell Reports Physical Science.
These include a Developmental Biology study using lifetime imaging that reveals long-distance non-neural bioelectric patterns on timescales from seconds to hours, and work on bioelectrical interfaces beyond excitable cells: cancer, aging, and gene expression.
It isn’t new, but it is the landmark citation, and it links developmental bioelectricity to regenerative medicine, synthetic bioengineering and even artificial intelligence.
It focuses on microcurrent because it can act at the cellular level with sub-sensory application, unlike other stimuli. It covers ATP, protein synthesis, and AMPK energy signaling. This is the best modern review for your “cellular level” curriculum module.
This is still the classic ATP citation. It examined the effects of electrical currents on ATP production, protein synthesis and membrane transport in rat skin. It is old, animal tissue, and in vitro, so present it as history rather than proof.
It found that EM field therapy promoted bone fracture repair through activation of mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation. It is a useful adjacent mechanism, but it used EM fields, not microcurrent.
It was published online August 15, 2025 and gives a good current overview of musculoskeletal and other applications.
Adding electrical stimulation to standard care significantly increased the proportion of wounds healed (OR 2.46) and shortened mean time to healing by about 2.67 weeks. This is high-level evidence, and the economic angle is useful for clinics.
This open-label RCT randomized 70 heart-failure patients to cardio-microcurrent therapy plus standard medication, or medication alone. At 6 months the device group improved ejection fraction by a mean of 5.1%. Note that this is an implanted device, so it supports microcurrent as a field rather than surface devices specifically.
It tested FSM alone and combined with relaxation against relaxation alone. It is small, but it is relevant to stress and autonomic regulation.
In a double-blinded RCT of 52 people with acute knee pain, microcurrent decreased pain and increased function.
It concluded that adding microcurrent to standard care of acute and chronic wounds reduced wound area and time to healing, with moderate and low certainty respectively.
